The Anti Bullying Research and Resource Centre at DCU hosted its annual Stop Bullying Course Certificate of Achievements.

Awards for 15 couple learners (person with ID with a support person) on Monday 4th Dec in celebration to coincide with the International Day of People with Disabilities.

On the day, learners presented the learning in the form of a Picture Poster. All of the learning couples did a fantastic job and are now ready to encourage and empower all those that they come in contact with on a daily basis around the issue of bullying and how to tackle it.

All of the learners feedback was very positive and felt that the course covered a lot of very important topics, including self-esteem, self-awareness and the importance of their right not to be bullied. They all enjoyed the poster homework bits to the course and felt that this way of learning was powerful. My sincere thanks to all of the learners that completed the course this year.

Our next Stop Bullying Course starts the 2nd February. Please contact Fiona at fiona.weldon@dcu.ie for more details.
